Aim and Scope

Aim
Journal of English Teaching and Linguistics Studies (JET Li) is a double-blind peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research, theory, and practice in English language education and applied linguistics. The journal provides a scholarly forum for researchers, educators, linguists, and practitioners to disseminate original research that advances understanding and practice in English teaching, learning, linguistics, pedagogy, curriculum, educational innovation, and language development.

JET Li aims to promote research that addresses contemporary challenges in English language teaching and linguistics and contributes to evidence-based educational practice. The journal particularly welcomes studies that develop, examine, or evaluate innovative approaches to language teaching and learning, educational technologies and artificial intelligence in language education, applied linguistics, sociocultural factors in language learning, and English teacher professional development.

Scope
JET Li focuses on research in English language teaching and applied linguistics. The journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, and developmental studies that make clear and substantive contributions to educational theory, linguistic analysis, language practice, policy, or teacher preparation relevant to English language education.

Research Approaches JET Li welcomes qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research, as well as rigorous research and development (R&D), quasi-experimental studies, systematic reviews, and critical discourse analysis, provided that the research makes a clear and substantive contribution to English language teaching and applied linguistics.

Scope Boundaries The primary focus of JET Li is English language teaching and applied linguistics. Manuscripts primarily concerned with non-English language education, general educational issues without a clear and substantive connection to English teaching or linguistics, or pure literary criticism without linguistic or pedagogical implications are normally considered outside the journal's scope.

Studies involving general teacher education are considered when their findings have clear implications for the preparation, professional development, or practice of English language teachers.
